This program uses the “This Is Our Faith” series, which is specifically created for students in middle school and utilizes a variety of mediums, drawing parallels from the Sunday Gospel to the issues in the students’ everyday life, with the aim of involving the students in the Gospel message. Grade 9 uses “The Spirit Guide” by Good Ground Press.

Faith Formation: Grade 10 Confirmation Program
The Confirmation program at Saint Timothy’s involves 10th Grade students in their faith journey. According to Archdiocese regulations, the Confirmation program is a two-year commitment, beginning at St Timothy in ninth grade. Students who attend Northwest Catholic High School may have permission to attend classes as a tenth grader only, with the permission of the Director. In the program, Parents and Students are called into a partnership with Catechists, Sponsors and St Timothy’s Community during our Rite of Choice Celebration and Confirmation Breakfast. Classes are organized with the students participating in classroom work for several weeks, then breaking for a week before continuing to the next unit. Candidates for the reception of the sacrament are required to work with their confirmation sponsor, attend all classes, complete a service project, two interviews with the program director and pastor as well as participate in the overnight retreat to Camp Woodstock, the Mass of Election, Confirmation Breakfast, Rosary Hour and devotional and complete 20 hours of community service work. Current issues that face the community and the world in which we live are looked at from a “Catholic” perspective.
