The Church of St. Timothy

"There are no strangers here only friends we have not met yet"

Environment

The Environment Committee was created out of a need to widen the work of the Liturgy committee by supplying decorative and symbolic elements that communicate the themes of the Liturgical seasons and celebrations.  It is the hope and vision of this committee that, while always keeping in mind the theme of the liturgical season, we are expressing the many tastes and talents of all those that make up the people of God we call St. Timothy Parish.

We are traditionalists, modern, and everything in between.  And so it is important that our committee members are multitalented coming from a wide range of perspectives in expression of their art and talent.

The committee includes artists, people with special interests in liturgy, banner makers and “worker bees.”  We are working hard to make sure all members have an opportunity to express their talent.  Therefore, you will see floral arrangements that are traditional as well as contemporary.  We will use materials that are familiar and maybe not so familiar for your taste.  What we finally hope for is not the vision of one person but the cumulative effort of many hearts joined together to create a worship environment that speaks about a people that call themselves the Church of St. Timothy.

We are always looking for more good help. If you would like to volunteer your talent to help make Saint Timothy’s an environment in which so many come to share their spiritual lives, please contact Pat Piano (Pastoral Associate) at 860-232-8594.

The Committee meets every fourth Thursday of the month at 9:00 A.M. in the rectory.
